California Pizza Kitchen

This place has been my favourite pizza place but it isn't economical for a student's pocket, fear not my fellow students the 6 new pizzas of 9"inches are priced at Rs. 249 + taxes. So rush to California Pizza Kitchen at Whitefield, Indiranagar, or Koramangala, 16th March onward every week from Monday to Friday to avail this exclusive offer valid for a limited period only.

Starter

Chipotle grilled chicken is also new on the menu and the same is good. It is a smoky chipotle peppers marinated chicken strips, grilled and served with house salad and herb ranch dressing. This dish is juicy inside and this is good combination with CPK Margarita with crushed ice.



Lettuce wraps with shrimps, is wok seared shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots and green onions tossed in soy ginger sauce. Served with spicy ginger sauce and iceberg lettuce cups. This is a sweeter dish if you exclude the lettuce and with the lettuce it becomes a good balanced dish. The is a must try with panner or shrimps as both of them are good, I did not have the pleasure to taste the chicken but I except it be also good.


Spicy chicken supreme, is panko coated boneless chicken strips fried and tossed in our special tangy wing sauce. Served with crispy tortilla salad and herd ranch sauce. This dish is one of the hot selling dishes and the taste tells it all. This dish is so good that it can go with all drinks including soft drinks.


Pizza

Tijuana chicken pizza, is albuquerque sauce on a thin crust with mozzarella, grilled onions grilled chicken & sliced jalapenos in the style of tijuana. Garnished with cilantro. I loved this pizza due to the jalapenos that provided tangy flavour that I love.


Apollo pizza, is garlic marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers, sliced mushrooms, grilled onions and marinated chicken. The marinated chicken has a different texture that made this pizza stand out.


Capriciossa, is tomato sauce, mozzarella, bocconcini and parmesan cheese, greek olives, artichoke and mushrooms. It simple and nice.

Spicy cilantro pizza, is a choice of chicken or paneer, with onion tomatoes and capsicum marinated in fresh coriander pesto and baked atop a thin crispy crust with mozzarella and cheddar cheese. This is my pizza and I loved it. I would make it a point to have this when ever I came back to this place.


Kasundi paneer pizza, is makhani sauce, kasundi flavoured paneer, roasted peppers, tomatoes and onions. This vegetable pizza has a unique texture towards with the mustard (kasundi) with pepper.



Desserts



Red velvet cake, is layer of moist cake with creamy vanilla cream cheese frosting and white chocolate curls. Is rated at the best dish by all my friends but I am rating this the second best. The following dish is my favourite dessert.


Tiramisu, is the layer of rich Italian mascarpone cheese and espresso soaked lady fingers with a touch of kahlua topped with house-made sabayon and sprinkled with freshly grated dark chocolate. This is my favourite dessert out the five that I had. I can still feel the taste of the same when I think about it.


White chocolate strawberry cheesecake, is one of the signature desserts, it is a mile high New York style cheesecake with an Oreo crust and swirls of sweet strawberry and white chocolate served with fresh whipped cream. 


Sticky toffee pudding, is topped with a rich and buttery caramel sauce, this toffee flavoured British style "pudding" garnished with pecan nuts will melt its way onto your list of favourites quickly. Is also a treat, it does not look that inviting as the others but the taste makes up for it.


Chocolate banana cake, is a two flavours that were destined to be together. Rich and moist chocolate cake layered with banana cream and topped with a decadent chocolate ganache. A squiggle of banana creme sauce completes the dish.
